 INTRODUCTIONS:

LECTURES

As some of us are not able to access to Adobe software yet, we are going to do physical college as our first practical exercise. 

Mr Fauzi showed us a video as an example. The video included the procedures, tools and ways to create a physical college.

 The Dragon Boat Festival shown in the picture is one of the traditional Chinese festivals. Eating zongzi and rowing dragon boats are important activities of the Dragon Boat Festival.

 In the picture, three small people row a dragon boat, the clothes become a lake, and the dragon boat becomes the zipper of the clothes, which exactly corresponds to the clothing advertising poster.

The noodles in the picture are woven into a Chinese festival, which is very representative of China. Every Chinese New Year festival, a bowl of noodles will be cooked, which is exactly in line with the well-known TV program in the picture, A Bite of China.

Wuzhen shown in the picture is a famous water town in southern China. Wuzhen plays an important role in tourism and politics. The bamboo shoot shown in the picture is also a specialty of Wuzhen. Many projections form a bamboo shoot, which is very creative.

Week1

In the second week, Mr. Fauzi wanted us to buy fashion magazines and pick our favorite parts. In class, he said we should choose our elements first, then stick them down when we felt ready. After we finished, we took a group picture. Mr.Fauzi had my work in his hand, which made me really happy.

After reading the magazine, I saw a lot of watches. Since I loved watches since childhood, I decided to make a Mosaic painting full of watch elements.In this picture, many famous watches are used, such as AP/HUBLOT/RICHARD MILLE/OMEGA.

   A hand below installs the last gem, and the largest watch has a ring of diamonds on the side for decoration.

The covers of various fashion magazines appear in the picture, and everyone is wearing different clothes, some with hats and some without hats, some with skirts and some with long sleeves, and white, black and yellow people are also present. The world is so diverse, waiting for us to explore.

here are many jewelry elements in the picture, including earrings, pearl necklaces, pendants, gold lighters, and gold figures. Yellow stars on a pink background are matched by yellow jewelry.

Week2:

In the third week, Mr.Fauzi introduced us a very important knowledge, that is, the golden ratio, which we also learned in junior high school mathematics. But in the field of design, this is the first time I've heard that the images used in the golden ratio are very harmonious.

1) Focal point

• It helps viewers’ eyes naturally settle on the important pieces of the design first.

2) Scale & Hierarchy

• It helps to draw attention toward and away from certain elements.

3) Balance the element

• A good technique for mastering asymmetrical balance is to think of each element as having a ‘weight’ to it. 

  
  

• Smaller objects might ‘weigh’ less than larger objects, and heavily textured elements might ‘weigh’ more than flatly colored elements.

4) White space

• It helps to boost the design’s clarity and overall look by balancing out the more complicated and busy parts of the composition.

• Golden Ratio
• 
  

  The Golden Ratio is a mathematical ratio. It is commonly found in nature, and when used in a design, it fosters organic and natural-looking compositions that are aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

• Week3:
• Introduction to Photoshop

  
  

  In this week, Mr Fauzi give us some introduction regarding the tools in Photoshops.

  Pen Tool

  The pen tool is a versatile tool in Photoshop that can be used to create extremely precise shapes and paths, using manually placed anchor points.Although commonly used to make selections, the pen tool was not natively made as a “selection tool”

  
  

• Adjustment Layers

  
  

  Adjustment layers in a non-destructive image desiting tools, 

  
  

  A new layer will appear over the image. The properties panel will allow you to modify your adjustment later, which in turn will modify the image.

  
  

  With the adjustment layers, we are able to edit and discard adjustments or restore the original image at any time. This will make your workflow in Photoshop more flexible and efficient, and is an absolute must-know.

  
  

  These are some modifier for adjustment layers:

  1. Brightness/Contrast: 

  2. Level

  3.Curves

  4. Exposure

  5. Selective Colour

  Filter

  Filter is used to change colour, add blur or add completely new image effects.

        This week, we will contact the software ps for the first time. The teacher asked us          to collage several pictures together according to the teacher's requirements.

Week4

In this week, we need to finalize our physical collage and start to the digital collage by using Photoshop. 

For digital collage, we were given some picture to composite. We need to use Lasso tools and Magic Wand tools to crop out the image. Furthermore, we are suggested to use different type of layers and blending mode to further inprove the visual impact.

In addition, I selected the most satisfactory modification of brightness, brightness, purity and filter in last week's work. It was a new challenge for everyone. But after watching the video of Mr.Fauzi, I found that it was not difficult. It's very easy to understand.

DESCRIPTION:

The design is very arbitrary, one goldfish in the front and one goldfish in the back, the background I used a collage of four colors, and the building I took it apart and used a structural method.

DESCRIPTION:

After watching the video, I learned to change the colo and adjust the filter. I changed the goldfish to red, which is very festive, and changed the goldfish behind to orange, because the goldfish in my impression is mainly orange.

Week5

This week, Mr.Fauiz taught us how to use Photoshop to make shadows and reflections in water. With Mr.Fauiz's explanation, we quickly learned the function of Photoshop. The homework was to put Superman into the scene and make a perfect reflection and shadow for him. Then Mr.Fauiz also arranged an interesting activity, that is, we can draw what we want on the paper cup, and I then drew the characters in SpongeBob Squarepants.

Week6

In this week's class, Mr.Fauiz introduced us a lot of knowledge about photography, which made me, a novice photographer, have the impulse to learn photography for the first time. In the class, Mr.Fauiz explained the techniques of photography and the selection of lenses.

Then Mr.Fauzi showed us how to finish the homework. Mr.Fauiz was very humorous and very careful in class. He explained step by step for everyone in case they would not make progress, which made me feel good.

In the video, the teacher explained step by step very carefully, which enabled me to make it quickly and learned this skill, which enabled me to make the photos I took more beautiful and exquisite in daily life.
