LECTURES

Week 11: 

This week, in week 11, Mr.Fauzi gave his last assignment, which means that the semester is coming to an end. The teacher hopes that we can actively express our own personality in this assignment, integrate our own personality into the art, and build up our own characteristics and confidence. Write a biography about yourself, about your life and work.

We are encouraged to take picture of object and ourself.

The duration of video is 15 seconds. Export the video in MP4.

In the idea development period, we need to write a biography about ourselves and statement of our work. 

Intro to After Effect

Adobe After Effects (AE) is a 2.5D animation software used for animation, visual effects, and motion picture compositing. It is used in the post-production phase to manipulate imagery.

AE create motion graphics animation works by manipulating vector and rasterized art to create and tell a story. Both photography and videography can be integrated in AE.

This will also be our first contact with the software AE, which I have a certain understanding of, but it is also a challenge for me to contact and make my own short film for the first time.

Before that, we need to pre-synthesize them in Ps, then rearrange and rename them, and then make them in AE.

Compositing in After Effect

After Effect create digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application, elements such as images, video, vector and more can be imported into.All the layer elements need to be organized and synchronized to the external software platforms such as Photoshop & Illustrator. After Effects links to the media instead of embed it.

Week 11:

This week Mr.Fauzi posted a video explaining how the assignment should be done. In the four minutes, the teacher explained very carefully that as the last assignment, we had to break through ourselves.

After class, the teacher gave you a simple AE exercise. We need to use what the teacher taught in the video, apply it, and apply it to the final homework.

What I want to do is a simple shark game, where you can't be chased by the shark, and if you're chased by the shark, that means the game is over, and the shark can't be late to the metal device, or the shark will die.

I used Mario's background music and made video points at the right time for each frame switch.

I put a lot of lightning in itIn my impression, the painting style of tearing has always attracted my attention, so I hope to reflect the feeling of tearing in this assignment. There is a certain contrast between my upper body and lower body, and the lower body is integrated with the background.

Finally, the teacher chose the first poster, and I liked the first poster better. I added many special elements, such as lightning, some light effects, and some words that I liked. I separated the top and bottom two parts and made a split form, a torn style, which I think I like.

TITLE: Life is only thirty thousand days

ARTIST STATEMENT: 

Life is only 30,000 days, I want to express that life is only 30,000 days, we should try our best to live a wonderful life, make life full, the torn painting style makes people into the two parts, but also implies that after the age of 20, my life has just begun, mula skaee is my favorite singer, I hope to be like him, and use my ability to make a good life for my family and friends.

REFLECTION

This semester is coming to an end, and this is my first time to get to know the AE software. I think it is a little complicated and I don't understand it. In the future, I hope to learn more design software in the future.

This assignment was the most interesting in the whole semester. It brought me confidence, made me re-examine myself, and made me learn new software. It was also my first time using AE and Posting YouTube, which was great.
