All shots

My idea is to filter out the desired shots first, and then arrange the videos in order, find the intermediate shots and pictures, and then add audio and music.

Final product

After watching a lot of movie promos, the one that impressed me most was the one of horror movies. Because the one full of horror can make people have infinite reverie and make viewers want to watch the full version, I decided to make the video promo into a horror version.

INSTRUCTIONS

Project 2.2: Tiktok Video

Task2/Project2-Briefing

We were required to shoot an Instagram reel/TikTok video about ourselves, one aspect of us, or any topic that matters to us.

Requirements

The video must consist of the following shot sizes:
Close-up shot
Frontal MCU (soft background)
Frontal MS (soft background)
3/4 angling MCU shot (with shallow DOF)
Low angle Wide shot

Mr. Martin provided us with a Google Slides document to fill out.

Here are the slides:
story board:

Following are the footages/ scene I film:

Footages

I interspersed a lot of transition animations from home to computer screen, and some from computer screen to live house.

I used the shooting size of 16:9, mainly close-ups, medium shots and medium wide shots at eye level, and a small amount of side Angle medium shots. I did not add too much post effect, because I think this video will be strange after adding, and I prefer the original feeling.

Photos
I added a cover to my opening credits, and then I added an approach animation to the cover letters.

FEEDBACK

WEEK5

Specific Feedback: After I went back, I immediately started the video editing, my idea was very clear, I first imported all the videos, then cut out the unnecessary parts, classified each part, which is dialogue, which is action, and then sorted them, and then edited. The opening and ending credits were added, special effects and sound effects were added, letters were added to one of the clips, and then exported after the final check was correct.

General Feedback: I was the producer and supporting actor in the team. After a morning's shooting, I mastered many new skills, such as how to operate the robot arm, how to master the radio equipment and how to play a beaten person.

WEEK6

Specific Feedback:I chose paper cutting. After class, we organized to prepare all the paper cutting materials for shooting, which was a very important first step. I was mainly responsible for cutting the dog and the lamp.

General Feedback: This week we're going to do stop-motion animation which I think is really interesting, and we're going to split it into two groups the paper-cut group and the clay group.

WEEK7

Specific Feedback:We carried out the shooting task in class. We chose to shoot the scene of the ball rolling to the side of the dog first, then the entrance scene and finally the scene of the hostess. This was my first time to shoot stop-motion animation, which I found very interesting. This part took a lot of photos, put the photos together, in order, this is a perfect stop-motion animation.

General Feedback: In the first half of the class, the teacher explained some essentials of stop-motion animation, and then we went to the studio to shoot our stop-motion animation. We brought mobile phone holders to facilitate shooting.

WEEK8

Specific Feedback:No feedback during study week

General Feedback: No feedback during study week

WEEK9

Specific Feedback:In the second half of the class, we made a plan for the next project. We could choose to work in a group or individually. I chose to finish the homework alone, because I thought it could better exercise my ability in all aspects.

General Feedback: In class, the teacher explained to us how to use AE to cut stop-motion animation, and the teacher explained it very carefully.

REFLECTION

In the second project, I feel that I have learned a lot. From preparation to shooting, from shooting to post-production captioning and special effects, everything is done by myself, which I think is the most interesting. I like this feeling, every shooting makes me nervous and excited, I think the most difficult part is to cooperate with the robot arm, I think the robot arm is very difficult to operate, after continuous cooperation, I hope there will be such group work in the future, such team cooperation makes me feel that everyone is making contributions. In the following videos, I needed to travel by myself and plan the images and processes by myself. I chose to shoot my own day and record every link from doing homework to playing games to changing clothes to going out. This was also the first time for me to record my own life, and I learned a lot from this assignment.
