LECTURES
1. Take the bold step to draw sketches, let your curiosity drive your creativity!
Sketches are the best way to showcase your thought process - they allow others to understand your ideas clearly at a glance.
2. Avoid using images, details or colors; keep the presentation simple and raw.
3. The threshold for drawing is low; no high-level skills are required, and it's suitable for everyone.
4. You can first sketch the overall framework with a thick pen, and then fill in the necessary details with a fine pen.
5.At this stage, the goal is quantity rather than refinement; the key is to express as many ideas in your mind as possible.

Week10
The conceptual stage of sketches and wireframes. I created multiple initial interface sketches for the Universal Studios App, attempting to express the logic and content arrangement of different functional pages through simple lines and structures. During this process, I realized that wireframes can effectively help me clarify the user's usage path, and also enabled me to focus more on the functional layout rather than the visual details.
Week11
This week, I started creating a high-fidelity prototype, focusing on the integration of visual design and brand elements. I referred to the brand colors and IP resources of Universal Studios and used a more vibrant blue color along with animated character illustrations to create an immersive experience. One of the major challenges I encountered in the design process was how to balance entertainment and practicality. For example, while maintaining visual appeal, I needed to ensure that users could quickly find the functions they needed.
Week12
I further optimized the UI of the entire app and added some animations and interactive effects, such as button click feedback and page transition animations, to enhance the user experience. Additionally, I conducted a small-scale user test and collected feedback, making modifications to aspects like queue time display and navigation bar logic. Through this iterative process, I gained a deeper understanding that design is a continuous process of experimentation and adjustment.
Mr. Sylvain told me that the overall effect was excellent, but some minor details must be paid attention to, such as uniform font color and size, uniform background color, which could be changed to a different blue, and a prompt box of the same color as the button could be added to the map list.
REFLECTION
This App design course was a comprehensive process for me to enhance my design thinking and practical skills. From project research, sketching to high-fidelity prototype creation, I participated throughout and continuously iterated. With Universal Studios as the theme, I attempted to transform a real-world entertainment experience into a digital product that is logical, practical, and visually appealing. This not only improved my technical skills in Figma, but also made me more familiar with each step of the UX process. The biggest gain was that design is a continuous exploration and trial-and-error process. There is no "perfect solution", only "choices that are closer to the users".
User test feedback made me understand that some designs I thought were reasonable actually did not fit the actual usage scenarios. Through continuous feedback and correction, I learned how to think about problems from a user-centered perspective, while maintaining a balance between creativity and practical functionality.
